Pemf Biohacking:
So many people get a pemf mat and don't know how to use it. Most people are turning it to the highest level when the lowest level doesn't work. This is the biggest reason for people returning their pemf mat.
Many people never use their pemf mat with the right dosage and don't use it long enough. This is why the people that get the most benefit do their sessions in their sleep. I like to do an hour session right when I go to bed on a setting for parasympathetic therapy. I set the 2nd timer for another hour around 5am for sympathetic settings for another hour. I don't need to use it at all during the day.
This is the way to use a slow burn mat. Some people need to do shorter sessions throughout the day and do not use it on the lowest settings.
Pemf Session Times:
Once the voltage of the body is at the highest voltage it can get, the pemf machine can be just putting people in the inflammation state. Like when you stub your toe and it gets inflamed, the body naturally raises the voltage to a higher milli-volt level. Restorative sessions are different than therapeutic sessions. Most people overdo their pemf therapy until they feel good.
We start on low intensities and work our way up over several weeks or with very sick people even several months, allowing the body to gradually acclimate the new, higher voltage. Trying to raise the voltage too soon could result in an overabundance of oxygen and glucose that is not immediately combusted and free radical damage can happen. This could appear in the form of headache or other body pains.
Getting too much pemf can oxidize the cells. This is why I only would use high gauss pemf therapy if I had broken blood vessels and really needed a lot of power. I want to only flood my cells with enough oxygen equal or less than to what I am combusting. The last thing I want is to pool too much blood to an area that doesn’t need it.
Sub-Dosing VS Over-Dosing
Most Chinese import mats sub dose on frequencies but overdose on Gauss. These pemf brands are tricking people into thinking it is working from square, sine waves and exponential waves.
If the partial oxygen pressure gets too low it can break the lining of the cells (endothelium). This is when the cells become oxidized by free radicals of excess oxygen that is being forced into the cells without it being burned (combusted into carbon dioxide into energy).
Also, those that are acidic may want to research lymphatic exercise. Using pemf can stimulate the lymph system but if the person is not doing any lymphatics the lymph just goes back into the interstitial fluid.
Is it Possible to Treat Too Often or Overdose?
It is possible to increase the toxicity load on the body. When the body is just say at 30mV and the cells are jacked up to 90mV too fast, this is when the person usually feels great for maybe a month, maybe 2 months before negative effects are noticed. Just like using an infrared sauna where the body cannot eliminate the wastes it just released, if the cells start working at a higher peak performance at the artificially jacked up voltage, the body cannot metabolize the waste made by the cells when the cells lose their voltage and go back to the low voltage. Many people are very acidic and loaded with heavy metals and toxins stored in their fat. Fat holds the toxins so the organs don't acidify. Over all the years of doing this, it is the skinny people that have way more health problems than overweight people. I strongly recommend the slow burn approach where the focus is on micro circulation (capillaries) and not trying to see how much energy you can get. This is a health hack but not to be abused. The last thing I want is to leach minerals out of the bones to buffer all the acidic wastes being produced.
Note: A message on certain pemf mats that jack up your voltage TOO QUICK
When this happens and it happens with many people, people feel great at first then fatigued, more tired than they even were before they use the mat. When people don't have the reserves to function without it and they suddenly get the energy and joint mobility to do things they couldn't do before...it doesn't mean just because you don't feel the pain that you it's ok do that activity. When the cells crash from their abnormally high voltage the symptoms people are having can get worse. Many people who know about Herxheimer reactions know this.
The heart circulates about 6 quarts of blood per minute. Those who need pemf more than others should be careful not to have too high of gauss that can lower the partial oxygen pressure too quick. Many people feel great when a big rush of oxygen saturates the cells but I’ve learned a slower approach is better.
Using the mat on the higher levels if not working up to it can bring too many white blood cells to the area and have the opposite effect. Many people get these mats and have a bad reaction because they don’t know how to manage the power of the mat.
A good pemf mat has the ability to stimulate or relax a person. Many people using their pemf mat with the wrong protocols get a burst of energy then have an energy crash when their body doesn't have the reserves to maintain that cell voltage all day but the person keeps hitting their body with short sessions throughout the day. This can work at first and then people want to return them when it stops working for them.
A good pemf mat should be used at night and one shouldn't feel the need to use it again till the next night during their sleep.
Best explanation on how a pemf mat that has the right frequencies can work without making any claims:
The way to tell if a pemf mat is working is if you can test your partial oxygen pressure and see if it changes. It should change the first 2 minutes of being on the mat for nearly every person. This is the amount of how much oxygen someone has in their blood measured in their mercury pressure. If it creates a high level of partial oxygen pressure, then the mat is doing its job. A super healthy person is about 96 mm mercury while someone not so healthy is around 60 to 70 mm. The mats that do a really good job should thin the blood and change the viscosity which can be proven under a lab test before and after (a viscosity test). When blood is thinner, more blood oxygen can be delivered to the cells.
Expectations:
As far as what the blood values that a lab test would show someone, it should NOT change on the first session. It takes about 4 weeks for the value to change. I would test my partial oxygen pressure before and then 4 weeks after to see how much the mat made a difference. As far as pH levels, this usually takes about 6 weeks to notice a difference. As far as calcium and magnesium, this usually takes about 4 to 6 months to see any change that certain people are looking for.
The easiest way to see if a pemf mat changes someone's blood pressure and to see test it 2 minutes after being on the mat. If using it for 10 minute or even an hour, that shouldn't make any extra difference since all the works is done in the first 2 minutes as far as seeing if it will change someone's blood pressure. To see if the mat changes the pH of the body there are pH strips that can be used which costs about 6 dollars for 100 strips.
