Pemf Coil Types:
Note: copper is the most conductive and I look for 100% copper, not alloys.
Beware of copper mesh. Wire meshes is not the same as the heavy copper coils that give off the strongest magnetic field and highest dosage. Mesh can fool people to thinking the mat has a lot of fluence since it can spread over more surface area. The most powerful Pemf machines have a higher coil role count that is coiled up many more times. The models that are not wound as many times that have a lot of power are the ones that burn out and oxidize much quicker than the ones that have sufficient windings around it.
The Pemf machines that are built really well can make you feel the pulse at least 3 feet to the other side of your body. So if I stand on it I can feel it over 3 feet up my body past my waist. A good way to test if a machine has lost its power is to test an older model to a newer model and see if the pulse travels as far. A solid state machine keeps the pulse distance way longer than a spark gap type.
Note: Beware of Pemf mats that have cold spots. These types usually can be very powerful but don't cover much surface area. These lower powered Pemf machines with high copper coils concentrated on just a few parts of the mat make many people think the mat is powerful but there are so many spots that are "cold" and you don't feel anything in those areas. The high fluence Pemf mats usually have 8 areas where their are coils wound up around the iron magnet. Those with fewer coil zones people usually have to move around and change positions to get the pulses all around their body. Some of the really high end models are able to be priced less since they still have a lot of power but they just don't cover as much surface area. A Pemf machine that only has 4 coil rolls with the same power as 8 rolls should be much less expensive. The big problem is when a machine has 8 coil rolls but they are low powered since the machine is really built to handle 4.
Note: when comparing coil rolls types make sure you know the size of them. Some can be really heavy and tightly wound while others aren't. Some have a larger coil roll in the middle while they have a small one near the top of the Pemf mat where one's neck is placed.
Most Pemf mats that cover a lot of surface area and have high fluence usually are balanced but are lower powered. When the machine can shut half of the mat coils off and focus on just the areas you want it to the charge can be very powerful. A solid state type can produce high power and doesn't lose power when more areas are being charged. It requires a really high end Pemf generator to have the most coverage and not lose power.
I have tested nearly every mat and some people might be better off with lower powered mats that they will do longer sessions on and others really powerful mats that they can do shorter sessions. Not everyone can handle a very powerful Pemf mat. Take my Pemf quiz and I will recommend a Pemf generator that will provide the right amount of power based on your answers.
